Oak Flooring For A Top Quality Restoration

Always on the look out for good uses of oak flooring, I stumbled on this - Park Farm in Colwall, Herefordshire.

If there was ever a great example for how oak flooring can be used in a home, this is it.

This farmhouse is quite simply stunning, blending the highest quality contemporary fittings with traditional building techniques and finishes, this house should be an inspiration to all.

Although the farm is floored from wall to wall with oak, it's hard to tell whether they have used solid or engineered oak flooring.

It might seem wrong to use engineered boards in such an old and prestigious build, however, the modern trend for restorations and rebuilds, is to install underfloor heating to free up the walls of radiators.

This could be the case here, as there are no radiators visible in any of the interior shots.

It's worth popping over to the Farm's website because they have a large gallery of pictures of both the rebuild and the finished interiors.
